Family Ministry

The Family Ministry program offers both weekly and seasonal offerings for all ages. We strive to create a space where each individual is known and cared for, modeling God’s love to all ages in our community. We desire to extend the love of Jesus to kids and families, all ages, and all abilities.

We offer children’s church for kids age four through elementary school during part of the Sunday morning service. A children’s table at the back of the sanctuary is a place for kids to color or create quietly during worship. There are also rocking chairs at the back of the sanctuary, providing self-soothing for neurodivergent attendees, babies or others who benefit from the forward and back motion. A nursing area and quiet space are easily accessible through a side door from the sanctuary.

We have two main programs for young people. Our youth group for middle and high school aged youth meets twice a month on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., including dinner. On Wednesdays during the school year, we host the FOON (Food at Noon) program for students at the high school. This is a lunchtime drop-in program where we serve pizza, drinks and a treat to any high school students who choose to attend.

We offer seasonal activities such as a Halloween Trunk or Treat, participation for kids in our Christmas Eve service, an Easter egg hunt, summer camp, summer Vacation Bible School, and a monthly Parent Night Out during the school year. Kids are also involved throughout the year in special worship services and outreach projects.
