Adult Study Groups

We have a number of adult Sunday School classes and small group studies that meet during the school year.  Groups for men, women, and mixed groups meet at various times throughout the week. Contact the church office for details.

Simply Christian: Why Christianity Makes Sense will meet Sunday mornings at 9:15 in Room 35 during the school year. In Simply Christian, renowned biblical scholar and Anglican bishop N.T. Wright makes a case for Christianity from the ground up. Wright addresses questions about justice, spirituality, relationships, beauty, and Christianity, taking us to the heart of who God is and what he wants from us. Walking the reader through the Christian faith step-by-step and question by question, Wright’s Simply Christian offers explanations for even the toughest doubt-filled skeptics, leaving believers with a reason for renewed faith. Each session begins with a brief DVD lesson followed by group discussion facilitated. All are welcome!

The Wired Word is designed for all those who wish to grow in their faith by applying Scripture to the current events in our world.  Each Thursday, a new lesson, drawn from that week's headlines, is sent via e-mail to class members.  In class, we discuss how God's Word can inform and help us see with new eyes what is going on in our world each week and how faith matters. The class meets Sunday at 9:15 a.m. in the church library during the school year.

College Group  "The Well" meets Sundays during the academic year at the UI Campus Christian Center. All undergrad and grad students are invited to meet with our campus ministry intern and Pastor Norman for a light supper and discussion.
